" In all my time in Paihia I had never done any of the tourist trips, so I was determined to do one while I was here. I chose the Culture North Treaty of Waitangi night show and I'm glad I did...I really enjoyed the evening and at last I had seen the beautiful and graceful dancing and singing skills of the Maori culture."
"It was thoroughly enjoyable and worth every penny (not that it was expensive). The show was put together to illustrate Maori history, the uniqueness of the land and the coming together of the two cultures, Maori and European... It was excellently presented and the performances were very powerful. The singing and the music was out of this world. It was very educational too and tied in perfectly with what we'd discovered earlier in historic Russell. I'd love to write more about this as it's fascinating but I just do not have the time...The night ended superbly. After the performance and our enthusiastic applause, the guide spoke a few words giving his thanks and kindly invited us to go and meet the cast for ten minutes (photo's permitted)."
"It worked delightfully well and the show was great fun to watch. The real highlight came at the end when you could interact with the cast - ask them questions, get demonstrations of Maori weapons/toys and have some brilliant yet ridiculous photos taken."
